Twinsburg, Ohio – October 23, 2001 – Hitachi Medical Systems America, Inc. (HMSA) today announced a monthly record for Swissray ddR system orders. In the month of September, HMSA closed ten orders for a variety of Swissray ddR systems.
“HMSA is looking forward to a busy RSNA meeting for the Swissray products. The market for direct digital imaging versus computed radiography is showing clear signs of sustained growth. The message about throughput, efficiency, and reduced cost of operation is really starting to get through to decision makers across the board,” said John Newland, Marketing Manager for X-Ray Systems at HMSA.
Referring to the success in the Direct Radiography segment, Newland said, “We have a product which is deliverable, serviceable and affordable.”
“Customers appreciate the fact that technology in the Swissray products is not only able to deliver excellent image quality on a day-to-day basis but is also a safe choice because it has the ability to upgrade without complete replacement,” continued Newland.
Bill Bishop, Director of Business Development for HMSA added, “We are seeing broad acceptance of the ddR technology. Our September orders included hospital Radiology departments, emergency departments, orthopedic groups and diagnostic imaging centers.”
